Island Montessori School is a non-profit organization that relies on the generosity of parents, friends and members of the wider community to ensure the financial well-being of the School. Fundraising is an integral part of our school's financial planning. Money raised from fundraising help us achieve important goals like offering enrichment activities (field trips, special guests, etc.), tuition assistance, purchasing classroom materials, and provide for the long-term growth and stability of our school.
The Annual Fund for IMS
The Annual Fund for IMS is our top fundraising priority, supporting school programs and services and covering the hard costs that the state does not cover. Our annual fund pledge drive is held in the fall with our goal of 100% participation from all Montessori families. Contributions allow the school to allocate funds where they are needed most and help IMS continue its unique educational mission. The Annual Fund is a vital resource in supporting:

Easy Every Day Fundraisers
There are several on-going Fundraisers that are quick, easy and relatively painless and bring in a bit of extra money for our school (that adds up!). Here's the current list:
AmazonSmile: You can also support Island Montessori by going to "smile.amazon.com" instead of plain old amazon.com. When you visit for smile for the first time, a pop up window will ask you what charity you'd like to support. Enter "Island Montessori" in the search box and "Island Montessori Charter School" will pop up at the top of the results. Proceeds will go to support both campuses.

Box Tops for Education: Our FSA collects box tops for cash! Box Tops can be found on General Mills products. For a complete list of products please visit: www.boxtops4education.com. Your Box Tops can be left in the designated box at either campus.

3rd Annual Kickball tournament

Get your sneakers ready and prepare to transport back to middle school, just in time for our annual Kickball Tournament fundraiser! Tournament is held at Mike Chappell Park in Carolina Beach, teams will compete in a kickball competition while raising money to support Island MontessoriPreschool. Registration is available for both teams and individual participants. This event is family friendly and we will have activities for the kids!
Everyone is invited to participate and teams are highly encouraged although we will try to accommodate individual registrants. Interested teams of 8 to 12 people may register for $100. The tournament is a double-elimination bracket. Awards for 1st and 2nd place. You will need a Team name (feel free to be creative!). Encourage your team to have a wild theme and wear costumes to be considered for the Best Team Spirit award. Registration is tax deductible. Can't come but still want to get involved? No problem. Consider making a donation to help sponsor a child, family, or team! Grab your family, friends, and coworkers and join us for an exciting day at the park!
5th Annual Carolina Beach Dragon Boat Race

Dragon boating is the oldest continuously raced sport in the world, where teams of up to 20 individuals race by paddling in sync in a 14-meter- long canoe with a carved dragon head and tail. Every year IMS puts together a team of parents and friends for an unforgettable day together. This event is a great way to meet new people, experience a unique community event, all while supporting our school. This is one of our most successful fundraisers. Participants are encouraged to help cover registration costs with a suggested donation of $50 per person. If you are interested in joining our team or being a team sponsor, please let our team coordinator know by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Donations are tax deductible. "Grace and Courtesy is Magic" Show

Please join us as we kick off this year's theme of Grace and Courtesy with a little bit of magic. The Wilder West Magic Showdown is a one-of-a-kind, never been seen before show, brought to you by our friends at No Sleeves Magic. Get ready for an adrenaline rush of magic mixed with comedy that’s great for the whole family. Join Bulls-Eye & Pea-Brain, the world’s most bird-brained cowboys you’ll ever come across, as they take you on an adventure that will not soon be forgotten! On a train ride to your show, they meet a magician and found out a thing or two about the magic business. Unfortunately, the magician got a little tied up and now it’s up to them to save the show. Equipped with the magician’s box of tricks, you’re in for a sleight-of-hand-showdown that is nothing like you’ve ever seen! Concessions and merchandise will be available for purchase.
IMS Children’s School Valentines Fundraiser

The week of February 5th Children’s School students will be taking orders for handmade boxes of chocolate themed goodies. Boxes will be sent home with students the Monday and Tuesday before Valentine’s Day. Be sure to support this adorable event! Proceeds from this event will support the IMS Preschool.
3rd Annual Little Hands Art Show
This annual event supports our preschool’s Tuition Assistance Program. Bring your favorite food along with your choice of a drink and settle in on a picnic blanket or chair. Mingle and meet other parents while children play and enjoy the beautiful artwork on display. Children's artwork is provided by our very own talented Children's School students and equally talented teachers, Ms. Mary Carmen and Ms. Beca Shaw. This year will feature additional artwork from Charter School students. Artwork will be available to take home for a suggested donation. Beverages for purchase, face painting, and a 50/50 Raffle. Donations are tax deductible.
Family School Association (FSA) Fundraisers
