FSA President
Lara Fritz
Born and raised in NY, I spent college, and the years after living on the coast in Rhode Island before heading south for warmer weather!
I am Mom to Ruby, 12, Myers, 7, and Hollis 3, and I love to get outside with them as often as possible. In all my free time (ha) I love to get in the garden or pick up one of my many crafts.
I am excited to support IMS this year on the FSA, and am looking forward to the continued growth and sense of community we are working to build. One of the most rewarding and enjoyable parts of the FSA for me has been the amazing friends I have made during the FSA events.. and if I had to choose, Fall Festival would be my favorite FSA event of the year. I cannot wait to meet more IMS families during this year of stories.

FSA Vice President
Erin Brinkman Myers
Originally from LA and Laguna Beach, CA, I have lived in NC since law school (UNC Law, Class of 2012), and in Wilmington for the past seven years. I’m an attorney and real estate broker who founded and serves as the Executive Director of a nonprofit called Project Pathfinder, which provides tutoring services and mentoring support to criminal justice-involved youth (and is always looking for volunteer tutors and mentors!). I also teach a criminal justice reform seminar at UNC Law School. On the weekends, I love spending time at the beach with my family.
This is my second year as a board member of the IMS FSA, and my first year serving as Vice President. My son Remy is a third-year student in Ms. Wendy’s class, where I’ve loved serving as Room Parent. I’m excited to support IMS again this year as a member of the FSA! Last year I really enjoyed working at the Fall Festival (especially the cake walk booth) while wearing a Maleficent costume, and watching all the incredible IMS students and their family members participating in the Turtle Trot races. I’m looking forward to reconnecting with our IMS community and finding new and creative ways to fund our school projects!

Tara Fernandez de Castro
Tara Fernandez de Castro a Wilmington resident since 2000 has worked extensively as a Recreational Director for Cape Fear Soccer Association and various other children's fitness programs prior to becoming a SAHM. Her and her husband Jon have 4 busy boys with the oldest recently graduating from IMS Charter 8th and moving on to Ashley high school. We enjoy lots of hobbies like dirt-biking, boating, camping, and are grateful for so many years with the Island Montessori family.
